To Focus Better – Manage Attention

I heard a very good Podcast today which talked about How to Focus Better?

It said that to focus better we should try to manage our attention rather than managing our focus. To manage our attention we should try to remove ourselves from as many distractions as we can. All people around us, phone notifications etc. try to grab our attention. We need to try and say “No” to them at times if we want to focus better.

Turn Off your notifications.

Check your emails in periods rather than checking them every second and responding back.

Set expectations with people around you that response to email will not be immediate.

Prioritize things that you want to do in life, and say No to all other things which want attention then so you can focus on what you are doing.
